I’m really happy to see brands heading this direction! More mainstream beauty brands have been offering refills as a sustainable shopping option, as you aren’t throwing out an entire compact every time you need a new product. This used to be a way for makeup artists to carry more products while saving space and weight in their kit. A refill pan contains only the makeup product, without the outside compact. One thing I recommend to do, especially if you are just starting your makeup collection, is to pick up an empty magnetic palette that holds “refill” pans. If you have naturally red hair, then just skip the ashy shade I use first and just use the caramel shades. I have a whole post on how I coordinate my brows here. Quick note on eyebrows, I’m not a natural redhead and don’t color my brows.
